Jennifer Tilly, born on 16 September 1958, in Los Angeles under extremely poor conditions. Her mother, who was a failing teacher and actor, was a salesperson for automobiles while her father was an automobile salesman. Jennifer was the youngest of the four children in her family often accompanied her mother to performances in the theater and was much impressed by her. Jennifer's parents divorced at the age of five. Jennifer lived the majority of her childhood living in British Columbia after her mom moved there along with her four siblings. Jennifer did not appear to be a scholarly sort, despite the fact she had a talent for art as a child. She was frequently the target of bullying because of her time in Canada's schools. When her passion for theater diminished, she started acting in shows to support her mom. She was the one who encouraged all her kids to develop an appreciation for the arts.
