Kellie Martin is an American TV, film as well as stage actor. Her most famous parts include Christy Huddleston (Christy) on the drama of the same name Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On); and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Other notable roles include her title character in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin was the daughter of a department-store purchaser and kindergarten teacher began her professional career acting at the age of seven. Her aunt who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's kids assisted Martin get a part in the 1981's series "Father Murphy". When she graduated of Yale University she began to become serious about acting and landed roles on the small and large screen. Martin was also a photographer and a dancer. Being a mom to two kids, she has been named the national spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has actively promoted this disease ever since her younger sister passed away in the age of 19.
